Margaret Louise Surbaugh, 81 of 244 Main St. Hinton died at 12:19 p.m. Thursday November 28, 2013 at Main Street Care in Hinton following a long illness.
Born May 25, 1932 at Pemberton, WV she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Lydia Ellen Guess Tate.
Mrs. Surbaugh was a homemaker and member of the Hinton Church of Christ. She loved being with family and friends and enjoyed playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Surbaugh. Also preceded by a son, Richard Darnell Surbaugh, four brothers, June, Paul, Earl and John Tate and two sisters, Mary Adkins and Elsie Harrah.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Surbaugh, Jr. and John Surbaugh, both of Hinton and Keith Surbaugh and wife Kim of Jumping Branch. Five daughters, Patricia Graham and husband Cecil of Lerona, Debra Meador and husband Roger of Lincolnton, NC, and Tresia Pack, Brenda Allen & husband Jeff and Regina Trout all of Hinton. One sister, Shirley Ward of Hinton. Eighteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday December 1, 2013 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow in Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be; Timmy Duncan, Michael Graham, David Meador, Nathan Trout, Jeff Davis and Roger Meador.
