Bobby Farrell Johnson went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2012.

He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his death. Bobby was known by his friends as "Hotdog". He was born on July 24, 1930, Sandstone, the son of the late Okey and Bessie Gillian Johnson.

He served in the U.S army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers. From beginning to end, he worked on construction of the "New River Gorge Bridge". Bobby was a member of the Church of Christ in Hinton, WV.

Bobby was preceded in death by his loving wife, Loretta Helen Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Lee Ann Johnson of Charleston, WV; his son and daughter-in-law of Lewisville, NC Scott "Chip" and Linda Johnson; his son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Robin Johnson of Winston Salem, NC ; grandaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Jake Klein of Virginia Beach, VA; grandaughter, Jackie Johnson of Winston Salem, NC; grandsons Bobby and Hunter Johnson ofLewisville, NC; two great grandchildren; and his very special friend, Blanche Woods of Beckley, WV.

"Hotdog" always had a smile on his face and enjoyed socializing with his family and friends. He would want everyone who loved him to celebrate his life. We will be reunited with him in the "glorious kingdom of our Lord"'.

A memorial service will be held at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton, on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 12 noon with Minister John McCain officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 11 to 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Dickie Noel Memorial Scholarship Foundation c/o Ruth Noel, 408 Riverside Dr., Hinton, WV 25951.
