SGT James William "Billy" Fox, 21, of Brooks, was killed Friday morning in an automobile accident in Tachoma, Washington.

Born May 2, 1949, in Hinton, he was the son James and Mabel Wills Fox, of Brooks, where he had lived all of his life until enlisting in the US Air Force in December 1967.

Sgt Fox had been stationed at Tachoma since April 1970 after completing a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of Church of Christ at Hinton.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Lajuana Johnson Fox of Tacoma, one son, William Brian, at home, two sisters Mrs. Rita Jean and Jane Ellen Fox, both of Brooks, paternal grandmother, Lottie Church of Hinton, and maternal grandparents Rev. W.M. Wills of Hinton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the Hinton Church of Christ by Evangealist George Irwin. Burial will follow at the Fox Cemetery in Brooks with military graveside rights.
