POET EDWARDS, Wis.—(AP)—
Lewis Miller Alexander, 76, a na-
tionally known pioneer paper man-
ufacturer, who died of a paralytic
stroke in his home here, will be
buried Saturday in Milwaukee,
where he formerly lived.
He headed the Nekoosa-Edwards
Paper company here, the Inland
Empire Paper company of Spokane,
Wash., where he was associated
with W. H. Cowles, publisher of the
Spokesman-Review, and held con-
trolling interests in the Iroquois
Door company of Buffalo, N. Y., and
the Iriquois Millwork corporation of
Albany, N. Y.
A trustee of Lawrence college, Appleton,
Wis., where he built the Al-
exander gymnasium, Mr. Alexander
also was active in the Methodist
Episcopal church.
