DEATH OF MRS. MARILLA BACON

Death of Mrs. Marilla Bacon at the age of 81 years old died in her home at Northville, South Dakota. She was buried by her mother in Northville Cemetery.

Marilla Van Hyning Bacon was born at Oil City, Pennsylvania May 04, 1854. She died quietly in her home August 11, 1935. She was 81 years 3 months and 7 days old.

She moved at age of 5 with her parents to Cold Water, Michigan and 1870 she moved with parents in a covered wagon to Streator, Ill.

On November 12, 1872 she married Jasper Bacon who passed away in 1918. They resided in Streator and Saunemin until 1907 when they moved to Northville, S.D. They had three children which were Carrie Culver, deceased, Fred Bacon and Ruth (Bacon) Maxson of Northville. Two stepchildren, Josephine (Mrs. H.L. Sliter) of Long Beach, California and Moses Bacon deceased. Also eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

She attended the Christian Church since 1873.
