He was born in Duncansville on Oct. 8, 1869, a son of John and Lenora (Koon) Hicks, and on March 13, 1907, married Miss Thirza Jackson.
Surviving are his wife, two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. L. E. Ressler, Mrs. Lenora Grove, Charles, John and Oliver Hicks, all of Duncansville.
Mr. Hicks was a member of the Methodist church.
