Company F, of the 12th Louisiana Infantry

He enlisted as a private in Company F, of the 12th Louisiana Infantry in March of 1862 and served until the war was nearly over in 1865. On his Confederate Pension Application, Mr. Anders wrote that be was in the hospital, in Mississippi, after being wounded and received a 90 day furlough to return home. Before he could make it home the Confederate Army surrendered. He appears on the register of Way Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi on January 11, 1865. Exactly how we was wounded or where is uncertain. Anders very possibly fought at Champion's Hill, and Jackson before joining the campaigns of the Army of Tennessee.
