Dennis Lee Clatterbaugh, 53, husband of Linda (Phillips) Clatterbaugh of 917 Selma Blvd., Apt. B, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. He was born Oct. 23, 1956, a son of the late Chester and Hazel (Benson) Clatterbaugh.
Mr. Clatterbaugh served in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School.
He formerly was employed by Fenco.
In addition to his wife, family members include a daughter, Brandy Nicole Clatterbaugh of Staunton; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Marion Clatterbaugh of Abingdon, Md., Rick Clatterbaugh of Fishersville and Ken and Marie Cason of Verona; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Doris Clatterbaugh of Staunton, Peggy and Eugene Tutwiler of Staunton, Linda Johnson of Fredericksburg, Betty Wimer of Staunton and Nancy and Ray Colvin of Staunton; a sister-in-law, Debbie Phillips of Staunton; a brother-in-law, Ron Phillips of Waynesboro; two special girls who were dear to his heart, Brooke Gilmer and Heather Harwley; cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends and our other extended family; and his beloved cat, Griff.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Kim Triplett. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be John E. Mozian, Reid Sterrett, Derek Hilderbrand, Mike Grant, Gerald Carter, George Gilmer and Eric Piner.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
