It is not clear if he is working on the Gerald family farm. It is most likely through James that Ethel met her future husband, Simond Boone, a Canadian Woodsman. According to his Federal Naturalization Record, he arrived in the United States and requested permanent residency on 14 Mar 1910.
On 04 May 1913, Ethel M. Gerald married Simond Leslie Boone. They would become the parents of 7 children, 5 of whom would live to adulthood.
Ethel died from cancer at the relatively young age of 59. She was buried in Sherman Corner Cemetery, in the Gerald family plot. Her beloved husband, Simond, would join her there in 1975.
