OBITUARY

STACYVILLE, Nov. 15 - George Newell Gerald, 45, died suddenly at his home Friday, Nov. 8th. Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Winnie Gerald, three sisters, and four brothers, Mrs. Alice Bates, Mrs. Roy Gardner, Mrs. Ethel Boone, Herbert Gerald, Hiram Gerald, Nathaniel Gerald and Abbott Gerald. and nieces and nephews. Although an invalid for 13 years, his death was a shock to his friends.

Attending his funeral held at home outside were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Harper, Hartford, Conn.; Mr. and Mrs. Cris Hutchings, Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. Alice Bates, Houlton; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gardner and family, Smyrna Mills; Mr. and Mrs Horace Hutchings, Houlton; Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hartley, Millinocket; Charles Box, Mrs. Alice Hutchings, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hutchings, East Millinocket; Mrs. Bessie Gerald, Sangerville; Mrs. Roseland Kedderal, Mrs. Drew, Patten; Mrs. Grace Tracy, Hermon; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gonya, Millinocket; Ruth Kelly, Henry Willetts, Sherman; Floyd Martin, Sherman Mills; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Higgins, Jermone Bates, Houlton.

Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Abbott Gerald, Mr. and Mrs. Orien Bates, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Willis, Mr. and Mrs. Ethel Boone , Mrs. Nathaniel Gerald, Herbert Gerald, Hiram Gerald, Albert Gerald and William Hutchings. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Lewis Distant of Sherman Mills. There were many flowers.

Bearers were two brothers, Hiram Gerald and Abbott Gerald and two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Harper and Charles W. Hutchings.
