3 February 1493, Thomas Baker of Cranebroke. To be buried in the parishe chirche of Saynte Donston in Cranebroke byfore the aulter of Saynte Nicholas. To the light of the holy trinite there fownden by me durynge theterme of 5 yeres euery yere 5s. for to be sufficiently kept. To the light of oure Lady Pitie in the saide churche 12d.
I will that all my godchildren in Cranebroke be paied at my grave with in my moneth day. To high aultar of Benynden 3s. 4d. To reparacion of the said churche 6s. 8d. To high aulter of Burwassh 5s. To church of Echyntham and Stapleherst 12d. and reparacion of the same 6s. 8d., and of Frethynden and Bexhill. To church of Saleherst 2 torches. To euery Frere at Motynden 8d. To the howse of Friers at Lossynham 6s. 8d. and at Rye 3s. 4d. and Wynchelsey 6s. 8d. To euery chanon in Combewell that is prest 12d. and euery nouyes 4d. To Dom Willyam Pippesden monke at Roberts Brigge 6s. 8d. To euery doughter married or unmarried of Richard Euerynden of Benynden 3s. 4d. To Benet doughter of Jamys Baker my sonne £20 to hir mariage and 6 spones of siluer and the flat pece of siluer that was my sonne Jamys Bakers, my executours to deliver to her at her mariage, and a fether bed, bolster, 3 pair shetis, a pair
of blanketts, 3 pillowes of downe, 2 cusshens, 2 brass potts, halfe garnisshe pewter vessell, a red chest, a guylte, 2 towellys, playne cloth and a spitte or els 5 marc in redy mony.

If she die then to be sold and disposed for the soule of Jamys Baker her fader.

Last will dated 3 February II Henry VII. My feoffees shall suffer Benet my wif to receive of all my lands in parish of Cranebroke and to have her dwelling in my principill place in Cranebroke for a yere and then one of my tenements in Cranebroke Strete. To Richard Baker my sonne my tenements &e in Kent and Sussex excepte my house in Stapleherst and in Burwessch and that in Stapleherst to John Baker my godson and son to the saide Richard. To Thomas Baker my godson and son to the said Richard Baker my lands in Burwessch at 22 yeres and he to pay to his broder Jamys Baker £10 at age of 24.

The money comyny of the landes of Robert Bernys at the discrecion of my executours.
