Mr. Jesse "Buck" Prunty SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Jesse "Buck" Prunty will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Forest Park Funeral Home Chapel, 1201 Louisiana Avenue, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Boze of Faith Community Church. Interment will follow with full military honors at NWLA Veteran's Cemetery in Keithville. Visitation will be Monday, from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. Mr. Prunty was born March 18, 1926 in Shreveport, LA and passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C Prunty and Myrtle Gwin Prunty. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 33 years, Shirley Prunty of Shreveport, LA; sons, Mark and wife, Nancy, Preston, Timothy, Matthew and wife, Penny and David Prunty, all of Shreveport; brothers, Howard Prunty of Covington, GA and Edmund and wife, Alice of Spring, TX; granddaughter, Teresa Prunty; grandsons, Wade Prunty, Matthew Prunty II and Justin Prunty. Jesse retired from KCS Railroad. He was a WWII veteran of the Marine Corps, decorated with the purple heart which he received as a result from being wounded on Iwo Jima. His family has requested that the PGR be present at his services. Mr. Prunty passed away January 27, 2010. Mr. Prunty was a U.S. Marine, World War II era Veteran. Mr. Prunty was awarded service and combat decorations to include the Purple Heart.

The Mission is a 'go' and all contacts have been made.

Services: Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 1 PM, at the Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71101-3909, Phone (318) 221-7181ý. Interment will be at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. This will be Flag Line at the Funeral Home and Honor Guard (escort) from Funeral Home to the cemetery, and a Flag Line at the cemetery.

Staging: Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71101-3909, Phone (318) 221-7181ý, From 12:00 PM. – 12:30 PM. Riders Meeting at 12:30 PM. Ride Captain will give flag line/honor guard (escort) information at riders meeting.
