Funeral services for Jewel Linder Rawles, 75 of West Monroe, LA were held at 10 AM Friday, November 11, 2011 in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Rev William Smith officiating. A private family graveside service followed. Visitation was Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
She was born to Arvel and Eunice Idella Weems Linder on July 20, 1936 and passed from this life Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in St Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
Jewel spent many years in the banking industry, having worked for Winnsboro State Bank and Franklin State Bank in Winnsboro and Guarantee Bank in Delhi. She worked at Richland Parish Hospital in Rayville and retired as business administrator. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Russell Linder and Charles Linder.
She leaves behind a son, Richard Darrin Rawles and wife Sharon of West Monroe and one grandson, Alan Rawles of West Monroe. She is also survived by her former husband, Cleon Rawles of Winnsboro.
