She was a student at a school in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, where she passed away from an unknown illness on April 1, 1917. Her earthly remains were returned to Guthrie, where her parents were living at the time and where she was laid to rest at the Summit View Cemetery on April 4, 1917. Her father officiated at her service.
