PECK Raymond L. Armstrong, 85, of Peck, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 in Zephryhills Hospital, Florida after a short illness.
He was born November 12, 1922 in Detroit, MI and took residence in Yale and Peck for 45 years.
He married Emma E. "Betty" McAlpine in November of 1942.
Mr. Armstrong worked for St. Clair Country Road Commission for 31 years. He served in the U.S. Army for three years and was in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Association, Lions Club and the Moose.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet (Edward) Kelly of Yale; his sons, Timothy (Eileen) Armstrong of Lapeer, Scott (Paula) Armstrong of Yale, David (Brandi) Armstrong of Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Donella Armstrong of Yale; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a close friend and companion, Teresa Borocci.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma "Betty" Armstrong; two infant daughters, Elizabeth and Trudi; one son, James Armstrong; one grandson, Jimmy Armstrong; his parents, Newton and Laura Armstrong; five sisters; and three brothers.
Cremation has taken place with no services scheduled. At the request of the family, all memorials can be made to the Veteran's Association.
