Charles R. Adkins, age 70, of Kimball, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 in the Evangelical Home after a long illness. He was born February 9, 1938 in Warren, MI to George and Eliza Adkins, and lived in the Blue Water area for most of his life.
He served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked most of his life as a painter. Most recently he had worked at Black River Country Club in the maintenance department for 10 years.
A memorial service will take place 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock Street. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 12-2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice.
