1. He first married Emeline C Wooten, also known as Emma. She is thought to have lived from 1848 until 1881. She was the mother of Mary Dawkins born abt 1875; Beehethlen Dawkins born abt 1877; and Laura Kathryne Dawkins born May 30, 1879 and died Feb 20, 1964. Laura Kathryne (FAG Mem 22022276) married Horace Riley McCool (FAG Mem 22022230).
2. Bowie's second wife was Nancy A Wooten who is thought to have lived from 1857 until 1882. According to a Family Tree on Ancestry.com, Bowie and Nancy married Oct 6, 1881 in Pickens County. There is no record of them having children together.
3. Bowie's third wife was Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Byars. According to the Bradley Family Tree on Ancestry.com, they married Aug 24, 1884.
