Robert Bigham was the son of Samuel & Ursula (Granville)Bigham. He married Margaret Clark 28 March 1810 in Lincoln Co., NC. They moved to Rutherford Co., TN in 1815. They had nine children: Samuel Watson, Mary Ann S.(Morris) , Oliver Harris, Moses Swan, Margaret "Peggy" Swan (Scott), Elihu Hall "Ail", Robert Patton, Ursula Granville (Bates), & William Nix. Family tradition is that Robert died from a fall while repairing a chimney and was buried near his parents.
His wife, Margaret (Clark) Bigham and all of their children left Bedford Co., TN in the fall of 1851 for Bell County, Texas. From: The research of Frances (Mays) McFarland
