Samuel was the son of Samuel & Ursula (Granville) Bigham. He md Barbara Carpenter Dec 17, 1807 in Lincoln Co., NC. He fought in the War of 1812 serving from Lincoln Co., NC 2nd Regiment.
Samuel & Barbara had ten children:
Susannah, William, Elizabeth, Jacob, Christopher, Anna, Samuel, Peter, Martin, & Joseph.
He was the gg-grandfather of Esther Marie (Wilson), O'Hare, Brewster, Bigham, a wonderful Bigham researcher. She wrote he was buried in this cemetery and his grave is unmarked.
