Bopp, Mildred Lorine Eggers September 20, 1915 -October 5, 2010. Mildred Eggers Bopp died peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 5, 2010 in Moraga, California with two of her children at her bedside, fifteen days after celebrating her 95th birthday. The first of five children born to Martin and Ella (Kaempfe) Eggers, Mildred Lorine was born on September 20, 1915, in Farrar, Missouri. She was baptized as an infant at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar. She attended Salem Lutheran School and graduated from Perryville High School in the class of 1934. She later graduated from the Nurses Training School at the Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis. Mildred married Rev. Clarence H. Bopp on October 20, 1940 in Farrar, then moved immediately to Burbank, California, where she and her husband began both their family and their life's work together in the ministry of the Lutheran Church. She and her family moved to Bishop, California, in 1953, then to Louisiana, Missouri in 1960, and to Lake Arrowhead, California in 1967. She resumed her career in nursing at Pike County Hospital in Missouri and subsequently at Mountains Community Hospital in Lake Arrowhead. After retirement in 1980, Mildred and Clarence moved to Kirkwood, Missouri. Mildred continued her volunteer work at St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood, and was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood. In 1991 she and her husband were chosen Beekeepers of the Year by the Eastern Missouri Bee Keepers Association. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, her brothers Lester and Homer, and her sisters Vera Fischer and Ruby Baisch. She is survived by her six children, Thomas of Kailua, Hawaii; William of Incline Village, Nevada; James of Garrison, New York; Barbara Wille of Lafayette, California; Mary Harding of Bourg, Louisiana; and Deborah of Port Angeles, Washington; eight grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran World Relief or to the charity of your choice. Services: A memorial service will be held October 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, Kirkwood, Missouri. Mildred's remains will be laid to rest beside those of her late husband at St. Lucas Cemetery in Sappington, Missouri.
