He was born September 5, 1903, in the Town of Ephratah, a son of George and Flora Belle Newkirk Abel.
Mr. Abel attended Ephratah Schools.
He employed in farming, and operated the Sunset Milk Route for 25 years until 1958, he then operated Abel Trucking until his reitement.
Harold was a call Fireman for 28 years retiring in 1978.
He was predeceased by his wife Bessie Smith Abel.
Survivors include one daughter, six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and cousins.
Interment will be in Ephratah Rural Cemetery.
