Obituary:
HENRY -- Dorothy A. Haas, 100, formerly of Front Street, died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, May 31, 1998, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Lacon. Born July 14, 1897, in Rutland to Vincent and Martha Seichter Schubert, she married John Haas on Aug. 25, 1920, in Henry. He died Dec. 5, 1987. Four brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, John of Milan, Robert of Tinley Park and Henry of Marianna, Fla.; one daughter, Helen Johnson of Mission Viejo, Calif.; one brother, Clement Schubert of Chillicothe; one sister, Gertrude Schubert of Lacon; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Henry for more than 95 years. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at her church. The Rev. Dale Wellman will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ries-McKitrick & Newton Mortuary, Henry Chapel, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. by the church's Altar and Rosary Society. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Henry.
