From "The Sapulpa Herald," Wednesday, August 3, 2005

Lynn E. Irby, 46, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, riding toward his dream.

He was born Sept. 29, 1958 in Sapulpa to Gordon and Wanda Irby.

Lynn attended Sapulpa Public Schools and graduated in 1977. He was employed by Tank Trucks, Inc. and was a member of their family. Lynn was a devoted family man, a loved father and will be missed by all. He loved being with his family and friends. He really loved riding his four wheeler with his grandson Jacob and spoiling all his grandkids. He also loved riding his motorcycle with his closest friends.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, quad racing, working on his four-wheeler and motorcycle and taking an occasional Sunday afternoon nap. He was a pretty easy-going guy and easy to please.

Lynn was preceded in death by his father Gordon Irby; his mother Wanda Irby; and his brother Dale Irby.

He is survived by one daughter Stephanie Stapleton and her husband Randy, of Bristow; one son Brent Irby and his wife Billie, of Kellyville; three grandchildren Jacob and Jenna Stapleton and Hailey Irby; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, family and friends.

Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2005 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Charles Moss will officiate.

Casket bearers will include Cecil Keeling, Alvin Robinson, Benny Hufft, Benny Martin, Covey Martin and Darrin Thomas.

The family has chosen to entrust the care of the service to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.
