Hannah Jenkins Parks

The wife of Mr. Parks, better known as "Gideye" Parks, was buried in the Empire City cemetery yesterday.

The Galena Republican
Saturday, July 20, 1895

Note: This is in the paper in with a bunch of other this and that's. It doesn't even list her name. I added that.

Daughter of George Washington Jenkins Sr. and Lucinda Stout Jenkins

Hannah's Siblings:

1. John Charles Jenkins born Jan. 01, 1848 OH
3, Teressa Jenkins Lake born Jan. 03, 1852 OH
4. Joseph Jenkins born June 26, 1853 IN
5. James Marcus Lafayette Jenkins born Nov. 09, 1854 IN
6. William Jenkins Feb. 22, 1860 IN
7. George Washington "Bob" Jenkins Jr. born May 15, 1861

Hannah's children that lived:

1. Armbury "Berry" Parks born Mar. 1872 MO
2. Samantha "Mandy" Parks Minton born May 18, 1883 TX
3. Teressa Trestina "Tressie" Parks Lamb Basom born Dec. 25, 1885

I'm not sure of the name of son 'Berry' Parks. Everywhere it was found it was spelled differently, Berry and Barry also.

Tressie's names are also uncertain. Her mother had a sister Teressa and was often spelled different ways. My Aunt Stella Jenkins Bender said Tressie's name was Trestina

By the time I started doing family research most of the ones who might have known the family history were already gone.
