Irma M. Sarles, 98, died Thursday in New Albany. She was born in Floyd County on June 21, 1913, the daughter of John E. and Emma Loheide Linnert. She was a homemaker, a graduate of the New Albany High School Class of 1931, and a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Georgetown.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Omar Miller, her second husband, Orrin Sarles, her sister, Thelma Miller and her son, Orrin S. Sarles.

Survivors include: one son – Charles Sarles of Indianapolis

Four daughters – Sharon Jenney (John) of Georgetown

Shirley Krick (Les) of Corydon

Barbara Voyles (John) of Greenville and

Cynthia Bush of Toledo, Ohio

One Brother – Glenn Linnert (Vivian) of New Albany.

12 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday at the Gehlbach & Royse Georgetown Funeral Home. Pastor Sandy Cooper and Pastor Dick Caldwell will officiate. Burial will be in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will be Sunday 12 noon-6 PM and Monday 9-11 AM. Memorials may be made to either Christ United Methodist Church, Georgetown or Jacob's Chapel United Methodist Church in New Albany.
