Former First Lady of Tennessee;A native of Erin, Tennessee, Mrs. Clement married the future Governor of Tennessee in 1940. They had three sons, one of which is Robert N. "Bob" Clement who is a member of the U. S. House of Representatives. Son Frank G. Clement, Jr. has served as a Judge in Tennessee since 1995, currently serving on the Tennessee Court of Appeals. Mrs. Clement was First Lady of Tennessee during her husband's two, non-consecutive terms as Governor first from 1953-59 and again from 1963-67. Lucille Clement Hall at East Tennessee State University is named in her honor.
