Sons of William Armstrong, Augustus M. and George W. Armstrong both enlisted on June 4, 1861, at Corinth, Mississippi for 12 months. Both were in Company A, and both were killed in the Battle of Seven Pines, Virginia, on May 31, 1862. Neither son was married or had children.
