This lone grave site holds the remains of a nameless girl. A family came to the home of Mr. Doc Hartley and camped for the night by the spring beside his house. Their 11 year old daughter was ill, and died during the night. She was buried the next day. Mr. Hartley's daughter, Mrs. Sales, helped care for the child and her father helped make the coffin and dig the grave. The child's parents moved on towards Oregon City. The family name may have been Linn. A large rock moved by the railroad from Starvation Creek marks the site. On May 22, 1955, a bronze plaque was mounted on the rock as a permament marker to the child.
