ROCKTON - Richard L. "Dick" Radke, 67, 231 Russell, St., died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1992, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born April 22, 1925, in South Beloit, son of Leo B. and Myrtle Mary Lawler Radke. Married Dorothy M. Stine in Rockford, Dec. 20, 1947; she died May 31, 1987. Worked at Wisconsin Power & Light Co. as of Jan. 18, 1943; promoted to chief gas technician in 1977 and retired in that position April 22, 1987. Navy veteran serving 1843-45. Member Rockton American Legion, National Rifle Association. Avid hunter, trapper and one of few men to weld and repair leaking gas storage tanks. Survivors: daughter Cheryl (Robert) Sitnek and granddaughter, Steffanie Sitnek, Phoenix, Ariz.; five brothers, Harry (Mickey) Radke, South Beloit, Robert Radke, Oshkosh, Wis., Raymond (Darlene) Radke, Russell Radke, Melton (Sidney) Radke, all of Roscoe; four sisters, Edith (Arthur) Davis, Rockton, Virginia (Lloyd) Ilgen, Janesville, Wis., Henrietta "Mickey" (Martin) Roy, Spring Hill, Fla., Carol (George) Neblock, Roscoe; nieces nephews. Predeceased: parents and brothers, Walter and Harvey Radke.
Services at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17 DALEY, MURPHY, WISCH
& ASSOCIATESFUNERAL HOME, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, with the Rev. Ted Jones of Roscoe United Methodist Church officiating. Burial in Rockton Cemetery. Visitation 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials to Harlem-Roscoe Rescue Squad. 8-14-3
