Pat was born in Forsyth County to Henry L. Floyd and Pauline Newell Floyd. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was employed by Kaplan's Early Learning Co.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Joanie Nett.
She is survived by husband, Lodewyk G.W. Mason and 'Little Boy' Harm, whom she loved dearly; step-mother, Opal Floyd of Winston-Salem; sisters, Sarah Reese, Judy Sipes and son, Andy Sipes of Walnut Cove; brother, Ronnie (Jane) Floyd of San Antonio, TX; Becky Tilley and Mike Roland, Aunt Betty and Uncle Ben Thompson of Lewisville; sister-in-law, Frances Mason of Bel Aire, MD, Johanna Berger of Hawaii; brother-in-law, Charles (Kathy) Mason of Leesburg, VA; and a number of nieces and nephew; and Dan Fulton and Jeff Miller, long life family friends.
A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, October 16, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Michael Buttner and Rev. Richard Hicks officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. before the service at the grave.
The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Brodkin and Martha Mount and the entire staff at Piedmont Oncology for their care throughout her illness and Dr. Holland for the care during her final days. In addition, they would like to thank the staff at Forsyth CCU, 5th floor for their extremely wonderful care.
Also, a special thanks to Hal Kaplan and the entire staff of Kaplan's for their love and support.
