KERNERSVILLE - Mr. William Howard Sisk Jr., 61, of 844 Leichester Square Court passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Sisk was born Sept. 30, 1942, in Swansboro, a son of William Howard Sisk Sr. and Roberta Elnita Wiggins Sisk. He was a U.S. Navy senior chief petty officer for 22 years and a retiree of Merfin Systems, Inc., a paper manufacturer in King, as controller. In addition to his father, W. Howard Sisk, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven C. Sisk. Surviving are his wife, June Tatum Sisk of the home; two sons, William Keith and wife, Jackie Sisk,, of Newport News, Va., and Mark Sisk of Clemmons; a granddaughter, Kyla Sisk; his mother, Elnita Wiggins Sisk of Kernersville; a sister, Karen Farley of Apex, N.C.; a nephew and niece, Jeff Farley and Jill Farley, both of Apex, N.C.; a nephew and niece, Mark Vineyard and Christy Vineyard, both of Kernersville; and a great-nephew, Zachary Vineyard of Kernersville. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Chapel by Elder David Alexander. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 13, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, 202 Centreport Drive, Suite 100, Greensboro, NC 27409.
