Actor, director and screenwriter. Born Clifford Osman Ebrahim, he is best known for having starred as a character actor in several films directed by Billy Wilder. His long career in film and television is considered an example of versatility and culture through the various activities carried out by him in the entertainment field. Multiple times graduated from various American universities, he has been for twenty years a prestigious acting teacher that has taught to more than 20,000 students. He has also been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Screen Actors Guild, Writers Guild of America and Visiting Professor in acting, as well as Guest Resident Artist at Georgetown University. In addition to his very numerous television appearances, he has starred in over 20 films, some of which considered cult movies from film critics, including "Irma la Douce" with Jack Lemmon, "Kiss Me, Stupid" with Dean Martin and Kim Novak, "The Fortune Cookie" and "Front Page" with Walter Matthau. Among the awards conferred on him, a Best Actor Award for his performance of Berthold Brecht's Baal at University of California in Los Angeles and the Joseph Jefferson Award for Acting. Osmond has died of pancreatic cancer at his home near Los Angeles.
