A novel event took place at St. Anthony's Catholic church in Jeffersonville yesterday. It was the wedding of Mr. Jacob Petter, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Petter and Miss Bertha Edna Waters, and the silver wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Sedler, the "silver" bride being the oldest daughter of Mr. Joseph Petter. The first wedding took place at 9 o'clock a.m., the Rev. Lucius Matt, pastor of the church, officiating. The attendants were Miss Regina Sedler, bridesmaid, and Herman Sedler, groomsman. Bride and bridesmaid were dressed in white cloth, with lace and ribbons, and wearing wreaths of bride roses and vails. After this ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Sedler were remarried, the pretty ceremony being witnessed by a large congregation composed of the friends of both couples. The attendants at the second ceremony were the bride and groom of the first. From the church both couples repaired to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Petter, where a banquet was served to a hundred guests. Last night a reception was tendered at the same residence.
