For K.B. Hale, Realtor

Funeral services for Karl Barrett Hale, 68, 3885 E. Parkview Dr., Salt Lake realtor who died of natural causes Saturday in an American Fork hospital, will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at East Millcreek Fourteenth LDS Ward Chapel, 4176 Adonis Dr. (3500 East).

Mr. Hale was vice president of Mount Olympus Park and a partner in Sunnyside Development. He also helped in the development of Boni Vista, Bountiful; Timpanogos Highlands, Orem, and Alpine Villa Ranch, Alpine, Utah County. He also was a director of the National Tile Co. and Century General Corp. After owning and operating the Karl B. Hale Floor Service from 1925-52, he became vice president and director of Bonneville Slyvan Life Insurance Co.

A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a mission to the Eastern States 1922-24. He had been a member of Sons of the Utah Pioneers for 25 years and was president of the Sugar House Chapter at the time of his death. He helped organize the East Millcreek and Holladay Chapters. He also served as associate of Pioneer Village and an officer in the Mormon Battalion Group. He was a charter member of the Sugar House Lions Club and a member of Alpine Country Club.

Born June 11, 1900, in Island, Idaho, he was a son of Albert Henry and Martintha Rebecca Barrett Hale. He married Delsa Grant, Feb. 28, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He is survived by his widow; two sons and four daughters, Mrs. Rudolph P.(Delsa Joye) Kuhn, Granada Hills, Calif.; Karl Grant, Mrs. Donald R. (Carol) Peterson, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lois Elders, San Rafael, Calif.; Lynn Grant, Alpine; Mrs. Ralph D. (Barbara) Fisher, Philadelphia; 32 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Warwood, Burley, and Xenia Egbert, Twin Falls, Idaho.

Friends may call at 3251-23rd East, Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday at the ward chapel one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens of the Valley.
