John DeHart March 7, 1938 - Jan. 30, 2013 - Mr. John DeHart, 74, of Pfafftown, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1938 in Macon County to Bryan and Edna DeHart. Mr. DeHart was a member of Winston-Salem First Church. He was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 30 years of service. He enjoyed working in his garden and loved yard sales. He also enjoyed his family, especially his grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy and Oma Lee; and five brothers, Troy, Jake, Fred, Robert and Marion. Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Wanda DeHart of the home; one daughter, Renee Bourgeois and husband Joseph of Tobaccoville; one son, Chris DeHart and wife Dana of Kernersville; six grandchildren, Jessica, Adam and Johnathan Bourgeois, Mary, Jonathan and Rachael DeHart; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Elwood Rakes officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
