Deborah Elaine "Dude" Beeson Barker

Went to her heavenly home on January 26, 2017. She was born on November 14, 1954 to Ray and Willie Mae Beeson of Forsyth County.

Deborah was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Deborah retired from RJR Tobacco Co. with 37 years of service.

Deborah loved to spend time with her husband, children, grandchildren and many other family members. She loved to garden, go on Annual Family camping trips to Myrtle Beach, and spoiling her fur babies “Koko and Kiwi”. She spent her life giving, sharing, and loving all that were blessed to be around her. Deborah was known for her Annual Easter Egg Hunt that has grown every year for the past 14 years. It was a highlight of her life.

In addition to her parents Deborah was preceded in death by two brother- in-laws: Don Fulk and Charles Barker. Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Carl Jackson Barker, Jr., her children Shawn Barker (Carrie) of W-S, Ashley Barker Manuel (Cory) of King, Lisa Barker Sutton (Grady) of Knightdale, Chad Barker (Penny) of W-S, Koko & Kiwi Barker of the home and *Special son Zachery Daniels of Hyde Co.; two brothers Jerry Beeson (Linda) of Walnut Cove, Larry Beeson (Faye) of W-S, Two sisters: Nancy Fulk of W-S, Joyce Proctor (Rodney) of Germanton; six grandchildren, Alesia &Anthony Barker of W-S, Kallie & Averie Manuel of King, Amber Wilder of Willow Springs, Caleb Bagwell of W-S; one great grandchild, Destiny Manring of Willow Springs and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30th from 6-8 pm at Salem Funeral Home at 120 S. Main Street, Winston-Salem.

There will be a memorial service at 2:00 at Grace Baptist Church on January 31, officiated by Pastor Jim Bush.
