Fox Winston-Salem Bynum Lee Fox 1/31/1928 - 6/6/2015 Mr. Bynum Lee Fox, 87, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Fox was born on January 31, 1928 in Forsyth County, NC to the late Oscar Clifton Fox and Julia Weaver Fox. He served his country in the United States Navy. Bynum retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 39 ½ years of service. Mr. Fox was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Bynum was an avid gardener, fisherman and golfer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his first wife and mother to his five children, Sarah Boles Fox; second wife, Dovie Buchanan Fox; and two brothers, Robert Fox and William Fox. Mr. Fox is survived by five children, Kenneth Fox (Shirley), Marcia Fox Thompson (Stephen), Gregory Fox (Debbie), Michael Fox (Patricia), and Julia Fox; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; one brother, David Fox; and one sister, Becky Coffey. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Randall Smith and Pastor Dean Tsiolkas officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
