Rose was a beloved white and grey tiger cat. Rose overcame a lot of adversity in her early life. She was born feral and spent more than a year living in the wild. The kind employees at the Bell Telephone Glenolden C.O. fed her leftovers from their lunches, causing her to develop a love of "people food" that remained with her throughout her life. She had a litter of four kittens on August 10, 1990 and was adopted shortly after. At first she had no wish to live in a house and tried every means to escape. But, in time, she evolved into a great housecat and loving pet. Her daughter Spot lived with her until her death in June, 2008. Rose lived with inflammatory bowel disease, which periodically flared up throughout her life. She was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism when she was 14 years old. With treatment, she lived a relatively healthy life until developing chronic renal failure in 2009. That was the one obstacle she could not overcome and she succumbed to kidney failure at approximately 6:30 PM on Wednesday, December 23, 2009. She is survived by her grieving human and cat sibling SpookyMulder.
