The 1850 census revealed Medora Guile (15) was living with the Myers family in Ellisburg, Jefferson County, New York.

Madorah Guiles was about nineteen when she married Unknown Richardson in about 1854.

Eulice Richardson (b.1855)

Her husband died sometime before the 1860 census.

The 1860 census revealed Madorah Richardson, a widow and her son Eulice (mistakenly listed as a Guiles), were living in Ellisburg, Jefferson County, New York with her Mother, Angeline Hammon and family. Household members: Wm Hammon (40), Agedene Hammon (43), Madora Richardson (25), Thomas Giles (23), Eulice Giles (5), Matilda A Giles (3).

George Shears was about twenty-six and Mrs Madorah Guiles Richardson was about twenty-five when they married after the 1860 census in Jefferson County, New York.

The 1870 census revealed George was a farm laborer and they were living in Ellisburg, Jefferson County, New York. Household members: George Shears (35), Madora (35), Eva (8), William (5) and Mary (3).

The 1880 census revealed George was a day laborer and was born in New York and both his parents were born in Vermont. Madorah was a tailor. She and her father were born in Michigan and her mother was born in New York. Household members: George Shears (45), Medora (45), Eva (18), Willie (15) and Mary (13).

The 1900 census revealed they owned their home free of mortgage. They had been married 40 years, she had four children and four still living. Their grandson Floyd H Brethen was living with them. George was born in Aug 1833 and his parents were born in England. Madorah was born in Feb 1836. Household members: George Shears (66), Madorah C (64) and Floyd H Brethen (11).

The 1910 census revealed George had been married one time and Madorah had been married two times. Household members: George W Shear (76) and Madorah (75).

The 1915 New York census revealed household members: George Shear (81) and Madora (80).

Household members: George W Presley (60), Eva Presley (58), Lottie C Brethen (28), Henry Brethen (54), Ellen Blackmer (10), Edmund Blackmer (7), Roy Presley (25), Lottie Presley (25), Madeline Presley (2) and Medorah Shear (84).

Madorah lived to age 88.
