{{LEONARD J. PALMER - ADAMS - Leonard J. Palmer, 85, former southern Jefferson County resident died at 8pm Thursday in Evergreen nursing home, Williams Town, where he had been a patient eight months. He had been ill six years.


The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 am at the Piddock funeral home with Rev. Miles E. Hutchinson, pastor of Lorraine and Mannsville Methodist churches officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 pm Sunday.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Julia Presley Palmer; two sons, Harley of Baldwinsville; Harold L. of Mannsville; a daughter, Mrs. Dora Stowell of Pulaski; a brother, Myron of Adams; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Durgee of Camden; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Palmer was born in Osceola August 2, 1879 a son of Michael and Amanda Porter Palmer. He operated farms in southern Jefferson and Northern Oswego County. He married Julia Presley February 6, 1903 in Woodville.}}
