FERRIS-Betty Lily, beloved wife of Cecil (deceased April 9, 2013) passed away with family at her side on May 29, 2013 at Stensrud Lodge in Saskatoon after a brief illness. Betty was born at Colonsay on January 3, 1925. She was the oldest of three children born to Margaret (Annie) and James Darling. Betty met Cecil when she came to Fielding to teach school in 1945. They were married in 1947 and together they farmed at Fielding, moving to Radisson in 1984. Betty is survived by daughters, Lesley (Dennis) Morgan, Audrey (Ed) Miller, Joanne Boisjoli; son, Greg (Shauna) Ferris; 10 grandchildren Greg (Nicole), Mark, Jody (Marlin), Jeff (Tara), Kirby, Nicole, Gavin, Brady, Janna & Brooke; 4 great grandchildren Trace, Myles, Ryan & Claire; her sister, Mary Olsen of Nanaimo BC and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her parents Margaret and James, brother Andrew, husband Cecil, son Ronald, grandchildren Lee Christopher Morgan and Keely Shauna Ferris. Betty was always fully devoted, whether it be her family, her friends or her community. A Memorial Service will be held on July 6, 2013 at Radisson (place and time to be arranged) with interment for Cecil and Betty being held at Fielding Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to DALMENY FUNERAL HOME. (306-254-2022).
