Snabb / Backman Family Line
Edit was born in Björköby, Finland, the daughter of Johannes Johansson Snabb and Lena Forsman Snabb. She left her family and moved to Canada 1928.
I have a favorite memory of her and our last Christmas together.
For Christmas that year, I got a Humpty Dumpty Bubble Bath character from Avon. When you knocked Humpty over, the 3 top pieces of the "egg" broke off.
When my Grandma came over for Christmas dinner, I was showing her my Humpty Dumpty and singing the song, and then I knocked it over and it of course, came apart. My poor Grandma, who really didn't understand much English, got so upset because she thought my new toy was broken. She hugged me and was crying. It took awhile but we managed to convince her that it wasn't broken.
