Charles Richard Bennett, 90, husband of Annetta May McHenry Bennett, of Lexington, died Thursday, April 5, 2012. He was a native of Knoxville, TN, the last of eleven children of the late Archie R. and Mary M. Hunnicutt Bennett.
A self-employed entrepreneur, he was a US Army Air Corp veteran of WW II and a member of Parkway Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, John Bruce Bennett and daughter, Lynn Dee Brock; grandchildren, Ronald Edward Brock, Bonnie Lynn Brock, Melissa Freeman-Carson, Adam Bennett, John Richard Bennett and Jason Bennett and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Saturday at Milward-Broadway with interment in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to American Red Cross.
