Graveside services for LaQuita Joy Dunaway Bass, of Madison, are 2 p.m. on Monday, May 16, at Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bass, 78, died May 14, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

She was born in Minter City on Sept. 18, 1932, to Harper Dunaway and Freddie Rushing Dunaway.

She was a housewife. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Frank Bass; and her brother, H.L. Dunaway Jr.

Survivors are her daughters, Anita Joan Brent, of Cullman, Ala., and Sabrina Sue Martin and husband, Tommy, of Madison; her son, Danny Lynn Brent and wife, Debbie, of Brookhaven; her sisters, Betty Boyd and husband, John, of Bakersfield, Calif., Iona Waits and husband, Joe, of Mobile, Ala., and Gert Hoover, of Brandon; her brother, Bailey Dunaway and wife, Abby, of Brookhaven; four grandchildren, Lisa Keplinger, Danielle Brent, Thomas Martin and Brianna Brent; and five great-grandchildren, Alan-Michael Smith, Austin Story, Mijah Polion, Triston Brent and Brayden Cason.
