Mrs. Lola Lee Barnard, 92, died Wednesday morning (December 16, 2009) at her daughter's residence in Blackshear after an extended illness.

She was a native of Adel, but she has lived most of her life in Berrien County and Waycross. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family as a farmer's wife. She was also a member of the Church of God in Tifton.

She is the daughter of the late Joel Walter Davis and Leanna Starling Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Barnard.

Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Luke of Waycross, and Anne Hattaway (husband Elmer) of Blackshear; two sons, Jack Barnard (wife Bonnie) of Waycross, Charles Barnard (wife Laura) of Ray City; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday (December 18, 2009) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Friday (December 18, 2009) at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta.
