Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, located at 3701 Heath St., Greensboro, NC. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
He was born on April 9, 1897, in Marion, S.C. Even at 110 years of age, he was able to comprehend and speak for himself. In his own rights, he was a legend. He has left a legacy of spirituality, knowledge, love, compassion energy and loyalty that shall be treasured.
Eight children preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a virtuous, Godly wife, Laura Manning Livingston of 79 years; eight children, Robert (Annie Mae) Livingston, Jannie Rowland, Mildred Livingston, Alex (Bertha) Livingston, Ernest Livingston, Betty (Donald) Amos, all of Greensboro, N.C., Pastor Sarah Ryan of Camden, N.J., Dr. James (Ophelia) Livingston of Sanford, N.C.; five generations of grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
