Clella married Troyed C. Gibson on January 5, 1928. He preceded her in death on October 25,2001.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by three daughters: Kathryn Thompson of Lawrenceville, Illinois; Alice (Kenneth) Hardway of Springfield, Illinois; and Karen (David) Cunningham of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; and one son: Dale (Carol Sue) Gibson of Battle Ground, Indiana. She is also survived by four grandsons and 3 granddaughters, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gibson is survived by one sister: Jessie Cash of Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Troyed; her brother, Chancy Struble (killed in action in World War II); and three sisters: Marie Weiler of Mishawaka, Indiana; Sadie Hosmer of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; and Jeraldean Wood of Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
Mrs. Gibson was a long-time member of the Otterbin United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile #41 in Evansville, Indiana.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker and so much more! She will be long remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her!
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2005 at the Emmons-Macey-Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Friends are welcome to call on Thursday, December 8, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and 1 hour before the funeral. Rev. Mick Laflin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pasfield Baptist Church, Springfield, Illinois; Otterbein Methodist Church, Lawrenceville, Illinois or Historic Prophetstown, Battle Ground, Indiana.
