HEALDTON Services for Opal Hedrick, 91, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at Spivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at Graham Cemetery, Graham.

Born on March 19, 1915, in Fox, Okla., to Albert Ross McLain and Lessie Ogletree McLain, she died on Feb. 25, 2007, in Ardmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence M. Hedrick in 1992; her parents; and brother, A.U. McLain.

Opal worked for Mobil Oil Company as a PBX operator for over 50 years. She loved her family and her church. She was faithful to her Lord and loved music, especially singing at various church events and offering special music with a trio or quartet.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Beth Parker, Ardmore; three grandchildren, Pamela Rowe, Healdton, Steven Parker, Anchorage, Alaska, and Lisa Ferguson, Alexandria, Va.; 10 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary McLain, Lone Grove; several nieces and nephews; a stepson, Wendell Hedrick and wife, Jackie, and their children, Jay and Wendey Hedrick, Oklahoma City.

Bearers will be Vernon Parker, W.A. McLain, Dan McLain, Larry Smith, J.W. Rhodes and Randy Suggs.
