Mrs. Cook had been a resident of the Montague section, since coming to Montana in 1928. She was born April 13, 1885 in Georgia, where she spent her early life. She was united in marriage to John Cook in Blairsville (Union County) Georgia, in 1902, and remained there until coming to Montana in 1928. The husband passed away in September 1941. She leaves to mourn her departure the following children: Mrs. George Dewar, Cecil Cook,Pauline Cook and Oscar Cook all of Montague; and two sons in service as follows: Rene Cook who is stationed at Camp Pickett, Virginia, and who arrived home Sunday just a short time before his mother passed away; and Ira Cook, who was reported missing in action last summer in the Philippines, and who was also serving in the armed forces there at the time of the death of his father; and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held from the Louther Chapel in Fort Benton on Tuesday afternoon, and the services conducted by the Reverend Ralph Underwood, pastor of the First Christian Church. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery. The relatives have the sincere sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
