Austin lived with optic nerve hypoplasia, which is a congenital disorder that is caused by the underdevelopment of the optic nerve. He also suffers from septo-optic dysplasia, which is another birth defect that is related to growth hormone deficiency, and he is autistic.
A former student of the Missouri School for the Blind in St. Louis and the Bolivar Center for the Disabled, Austin learned many skills in both institutions that helped him to have a good quality life here in Southwest Missouri. Austin loved music, his lap piano, all things water, his hot wheel cars and being with his family. He especially loved time with his father, Robert Anderson of Butterfield and his mother, Kimberly Lightwine of Bolivar.
It's in this difficult time we humbly ask for your help. With a shortcoming of life come unexpected expenses. On behalf of Robert, we are kindly asking for support to help him through something no parent should ever have to do- incur the final expenses of their child.
I pray that our community can open their hearts in this diffcult time. Every dollar counts and will make a difference. Also anyone who may be unable to give we just ask you keep Robert and our family in your thoughts and prayers for the difficult time that lies ahead.
Words cannot express the gratitude if you are able to help.
Thank you all in advance, and may God bless your generosity.
